2008 World AIDS Day

ICARE and Johnson County Public Health teamed up to provide Free Rapid HIV Testing at the Iowa City Public Library on World AIDS Day - Dec. 1, 2008. The oral tests consisted of a quick swab along the gum line, with individual results in just 20 minutes. Counselors also discussed risk and prevention factors. It was a great turnout and a wonderful way to raise awareness around the importance of prevention and testing.
